Haris Lambrakis was born in Athens in 1976.He graduated from the Music High School in Pallini. He is a graduate of the Musical Studies Department of the Athens University and a candidate doctor of ethnomusicology.

He studied with Marios Mavroidis, Giannis Arvanitis (Byzantine music), Andreas Symvoulopoulos (jazz), and Giannis Ioannidis (composition). He has participated playing the ney in concerts and recordings with Savina Giannatou, Haig Yazidjian, Occasional Dream, Christos Tsiamoulis, Ross Daly, Saz Grubu, and many others.
